Ford Announces The New Bronco Sasquatch Package Will Be Available With 7-Speed Manual Transmission

Calling all adventurers in West Michigan! Borgman Ford is pleased to announce that after fan feedback, Ford has decided to expand the New Ford Bronco Sasquatch Package to include an optional 7-speed manual transmission! This upgrade will be available for both 2 and 4-door models and marks the first time a vehicle in this class will support a 7-speed manual. Fans have already been excited about the New Ford Bronco Sasquatch Package: aptly-named for its adventure-readiness. The package includes class-first 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires, 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, Dana front and rear electronic locking axles, and high-clearance suspension. This suspension features a wider track (by almost two inches,) position-sensitive Bilstein shocks, and wider fender flares. You can read more about the Ford Bronco Sasquatch Package in an article from the Official Ford Media Center. Take a look at some excerpts below: Answering The Call Of Enthusiasts, Bronco Brand Expands Sasquatch Package To Models With 7-Speed Manual Transmission Listening to reservation-holder feedback, Ford is expanding the availability of its high-performance off-road Sasquatch™ package to all-new Bronco two- and four-door models with a class-first 7-speed manual transmission. “The Bronco community spoke and we heard them,” said Mark Grueber, Ford Bronco consumer marketing manager. “Our team moved quickly to add Sasquatch with a manual transmission – another example of our focus on giving customers the best possible off-road vehicles and accessories that we can.” The increased availability of the Sasquatch package also makes the Ford Bronco the only 4x4 with a 7-speed manual and 35-inch off-road tires in its class. Ford Has Started Production on the All-New Ford F-150 in Michigan

Borgman Ford is pleased to share some exciting news with truck fans in Grand Rapids and West Michigan: production of the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 has officially begun! This hotly-anticipated truck will be produced within the historic Rogue Center in Michigan, and will be arriving at Borgman this November. Ford also confirmed that they are planning a huge, $700 million expansion at the Rogue River complex, adding a new, high-tech facility to produce the all-electric F-150. This facility will produce many new Michigan jobs, with a recent study showing that the Ford F-Series of trucks alone employs over 500,000 people. The all-electric Ford F-150 will arrive at Borgman around the summer of 2022. This recent story from the Official Ford Media Center tells more about the 2021 Ford F-150, the all-electric Ford F-150, and expansions to the Rogue River Complex including the Michigan jobs it creates. Take a look below and watch an exciting video about the testing going on for the New Electric Ford F-150! Ford Deepens Commitment To American Manufacturing, Celebrates Production Start Of All-New F-150, Breaks Ground On New Electric F-150 Plant At Historic Rouge Center Ford announced an even deeper commitment to American manufacturing, celebrating the production start of the all-new F-150 at the storied Ford Rouge Center and confirming construction of the new Rouge Electric Vehicle Center where it will build the all-electric F-150 by mid-2022. The new manufacturing center at the Dearborn-based Rouge Center, once complete, will add 300 jobs and is part of a $700 million investment in building the all-new F-150 lineup, including the first-ever F-150 PowerBoost hybrid. The new jobs will support battery assembly and production of the F-150 PowerBoost hybrid and fully electric F-150. Including investments for Bronco and Ranger at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Mich., announced last year, Ford plans to invest more than $1.45 billion and create approximately 3,000 jobs over the next three years in Michigan alone. “We are proud to once again build and innovate for the future here at the Rouge with the debut of our all-new F-150 and the construction of a modern new manufacturing center to build the first-ever all-electric F-150,” said Bill Ford, executive chairman, Ford Motor Company. “This year’s COVID-19 crisis made it clear why it is so important for companies like Ford to help keep our U.S. manufacturing base strong and help our country get back to work.” Read the full story by visiting Media.Ford.com. Compare the 2020 Ford Expedition, 2020 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2020 GMC Yukon in this Borgman Head to Head

Fall is on its way to West Michigan, so if you're looking for a capable full-size SUV for your cold-weather adventures or something that can tow your camper next season, this article is for you! This month, we're pitting three industry-leading Full-Sized Luxury SUVs against each other, each with lots of power, interior comfort, safety features, and the capability to take you (and your toys) on any adventure imaginable in West Michigan. However, as we're looking over the specs of the Ford Expedition, the Chevrolet Suburban, and the GMC Yukon, we're finding that the Ford Expedition has some key advantages over the others - especially if comfort and towing is a factor in your decision. In this Borgman Head to Head, we're cross-comparing these three mighty SUVs in detail so you can make an informed decision. Let's take a look! Engine Options, Fuel Efficiency, and Towing 2020 Ford Expedition Looking beneath the massive hood of the 2020 Ford Expedition, you'll find the highly-capable 3.5L EcoBoost V6. This turbocharged aluminum block engine is one of the most powerful Ford produces: making 375 horsepower and 470 lb/ft of torque. Though these standard specs already leave the competition in the dust, the top-tier Ford Expedition Platinum makes use of some extra performance tuning to deliver 400 horsepower and 480lb/ft of torque. The 2020 Ford Expedition features rear-wheel drive as standard, but higher trims will include Ford's Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive. This highly-advanced system monitors a number of factors including wheel speed, pedal position, steering wheel angle, vehicle speed, and more to keep the vehicle stable. It's also adept at detecting and compensating for a number of different road conditions including mud, snow, sand, ruts, steep hills, and more. One of our friendly sales associates will be happy to explain this system in detail during your visit. When properly equipped, the 2020 Ford Expedition is capable of towing up to 9,300 pounds, again eclipsing the competition. Adding features like the I4x4 or opting for the larger (and heavier) Expedition MAX will reduce this to 9,000 pounds, which is still 600 pounds more than the closest competitor. 2020 Chevrolet Suburban While it's no slouch, the 2020 Suburban falls short on power when compared to the other two. Its 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 produces 355 horsepower and 383lb/ft of torque, with a maximum tow rating of 8,100 when properly equipped. Though the Chevy Suburban is left wanting for power even though it has more displacement, the lack of a turbocharger is mostly to blame. Like the others, the Suburban features a 10-speed automatic transmission and available four-wheel drive. The highest trim level of the Chevrolet Suburban, called "High Country," upgrades drivers to the more powerful 6.2L EcoTec3 V8. This engine produces 420 horsepower and 460lb/ft of torque, though this doesn't expand its towing capacity. 2020 GMC Yukon Being a cousin to the Chevrolet Suburban, the GMC Yukon features the same engines and 10-speed transmission: the 5.3L V8 the 6.2L V8. Also, because the vehicles have a similar curb weight, they offer the same towing capacity: a base of 6,300 pounds and up to 8,400 pounds when properly equipped. The GMC Yukon also features available four-wheel drive and has the same engine power as the Chevy Suburban. Interior Features 2020 Ford Expedition If you've never seen the interior of the Ford Expedition, we invite you to come check it out at our showroom. It's luxurious, refined, and incredibly comfortable - especially if you opt for the longer Ford Expedition MAX. Up to 8 adults including the driver can sit comfortably anywhere in the vehicle, and captain's chairs are available for the second row. If you love looking at the beautiful scenery of West Michigan, you can look up through the available panoramic vista moonroof while enjoying your favorite tunes through the Bang & Olufsen sound system. The Expedition features Ford's intuitive SYNC 3 system, which also features available wireless phone charging, navigation, Ford's CoPilot360 driver-assist technologies, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, and more. The 2020 Ford Expedition features a full 104.6 cu/ft of cargo space with the seats folded down, going up to 121.5 in the larger Expedition MAX. That's plenty of space for trips to the hardware store or for bringing just about anything with you on your adventures. 2020 Chevrolet Suburban The Chevy Suburban stacks up pretty neatly against the 2020 Ford Expedition in terms of specs, but has it beat on seating capacity and cargo space. There are a couple of caveats here though. Firstly, the Suburban can seat 9 passengers, but only if you opt for the front-row bench seat. Secondly, the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban has everyone beat on cargo space, with 121.7 cubic feet of available space, beating the Expedition MAX by a mere 0.2cu/ft. At the dash of the Chevy Suburban you'll find all of the features you'd expect in a modern full-size SUV of this caliber. Driver-assist technologies, a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, an infotainment system, and more. What's especially of note is how quiet the cabin is, with an acoustic-laminated windshield and triple-sealed doors. Another interesting feature is that instead of warning the driver of obstacles or an impending collision with lights and beeps, the Suburban uses vibrations inside the seat to alert you. 2020 GMC Yukon Again, the GMC Yukon shares a lot of similarities with the Chevy Suburban due to their manufacturing, though the GMC is seated between Chevy and the luxurious Cadillac - giving you some extra refinement over the Suburban without the hefty price tag of a Cadillac Escalade. Expect more surfaces that forego plastic for a more visually pleasing, touchable surface, supple leather trimming, more driver assist and infotainment features, and more. Notable features here include triple-zone climate control, a Bose 14-speaker sound system, and wireless phone charging. Fuel-Economy and Overall Value 2020 Ford Expedition The 2020 Ford Expedition starts at $52,810, making it the most expensive of the group, albeit not by much. That being said, for this price you get substantially more power over the others. To match the Ford Expedition on features, excluding power, you'd need to spend about this much with the others anyway. In terms of fuel economy, the Expedition has everyone beat. Thanks to clever tuning and Ford's EcoBoost technology, you can expect to get 23 mpg highway and 17 mpg city according to EPA estimates. All while churning out more power for highway cruising and towing than the other two. 2020 Chevrolet Suburban With a starting MSRP of $51,700, the Chevy Suburban is positioned in the middle of the pack. Even though the Suburban's advanced 10-speed transmission allows the engine to shut off four of its cylinders while cruising on the highway, it has the least impressive fuel economy of the three. When you compare up to 22 mpg highway, 15 mpg city, and the lesser engine power specs, you are literally getting less bang (from the gasoline) for your buck. 2020 GMC Yukon Despite being a more up-scale version of the Chevrolet Suburban, the 2020 GMC Yukon starts at $50,600 MSRP. However, the available options for the GMC Yukon exceed those of the Suburban, so you can easily end up with a much more expensive vehicle. What the GMC Yukon has going for it are the slightly improved fuel economy numbers over the Suburban: up to 23 highway and 16 city. Be Ready For Anything in a 2020 Ford Expedition from Borgman Ford in Grand Rapids, MI The Ford Expedition is the cream of the Ford SUV crop, and as we've detailed, is a cut above the rest where it matters. Get a Sneak Peek of the Upcoming 2021 Ford F-150

With West Michigan going back to work, Borgman Ford is proud to introduce the 2021 Ford F-150! Available later this year in the fall, the New F-150 comes complete with a fresh new look, even more technology to help you stay connected, and a host of improvements that raise the bar even higher for all other light duty pickups. It targets the most towing, payload, torque and horsepower of any light-duty full-size pickup and introduces all-new features to increase productivity. It also has new connected vehicle innovations such as over-the-air updates that help keep F-150 at the forefront of purposeful technology, and even an available all-new 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid powertrain with Pro Power Onboard – an integrated power generator. This is perfect for running power tools, air compressors, lights for camping, or anything else that needs electricity on the go. The all-new F-150 all begins with the same durable, proven foundation businesses have been depending on for years: a fully boxed high-strength steel frame with a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body. However, Ford has added some enhancements to make this model the most aerodynamic F-150 ever. New active grille shutters, an automatic active air dam, and new geometry all work together to reduce drag and improve the truck's fuel economy. There are also subtle changes in the cab and tailgate of the New F-150 made with contractors or busy professionals in mind. The new optional Interior Work Surface is ideal for signing documents, working on a 15-inch laptop, or eating a meal (when the truck is parked of course!) Every 2021 F-150 also comes standard with new cleats mounted to the sides of the tailgate to act as tie-down locations for extra-long items in the bed. New clamp pockets are built into the tailgate, so customers can hold materials down for precision work. An available flat Tailgate Work Surface also includes integrated rulers, a mobile device holder, a cup holder, and a pencil holder. “We see it as our duty to deliver not just what our customers want and need, but what they might have never thought possible,” said Craig Schmatz, Ford F-150 chief engineer. “The F-150 will be tougher than ever, and with fully connected over-the-air updates, it opens up a much wider range of potential enhancements – from system upgrades to feature offerings.” There are many other features too, and you can read the full reveal of the 2021 Ford F-150 by visiting Media.Ford.com. Compare the 2020 Ford Explorer, 2020 Chevy Traverse, and 2020 Honda Pilot in this Borgman Head to Head

Summer is here in West Michigan, and if you're trying to decide which SUV is the best fit for your adventures, this month Borgman is taking a look at three leaders in the SUV market. Read on as we compare the 2020 Ford Explorer, the 2020 Chevy Traverse, and the 2020 Honda Pilot to help you make the best decision for you or your family. See how the 2020 Ford Explorer stacks up and if you'd like to test drive one, check out our huge selection and get in touch with us today! We'd be happy to help. While these three vehicles are similar in a lot of ways, we feel the 2020 Explorer has some key advantages over the others for West Michigan adventurers. These include a better towing capacity, selectable drive modes for different terrain, and adaptive cruise control for long road trips. Let's take a look at how the different SUVs compare below: Engine Options, Fuel Efficiency, and Towing Under the hood of the 2020 Ford Explorer, you'll find a number of different engine options to choose from - each suited to a different style of adventuring. The most common engine is the 2.3L I4 EcoBoost, which balances the responsiveness of a turbo with increased efficiency. For hauling a trailer or heading off the beaten path, the Explorer Platinum or Explorer ST models come with a turbocharged 3.0L V6, with the latter producing up to 400 horsepower. Here's where it gets really interesting: for 2020 the Ford Explorer returns to its roots with Rear-Wheel Drive, with All-Wheel drive as an available option. While the other two SUVs also feature AWD options, they are both Front-Wheel Drive standard. If cruising around town or down the highway is more your speed, and you'd like to save on fuel, the Explorer also comes as a hybrid with a 3.3L V6 engine and a combined rating of 25mpg, compared with the 23mpg of the I4 with all-wheel drive. In addition, the 2020 Ford Explorer can tow up to 5,600 pounds when properly equipped, with towing and trailer sway control coming standard with the 3.0L EcoBoost. The 2020 Chevrolet Traverse features just the one engine, though it's nothing to sneeze at. The Chevy 3.6L V6 produces 310 horsepower, just squeaking out the Explorer and with comparable fuel efficiency ratings. However, towing is where the Traverse powertrain falls short: about 600 pounds short in fact, with a rating of 5,000 pounds when properly equipped. The Honda Pilot also features one engine: a 3.5L V6. Though being close to the Chevy in terms of displacement, the Honda engine produces a mere 280 horsepower and 3,500 towing capacity, though that number climbs to 5,000 with the AWD model. In terms of fuel-efficiency, the Honda Pilot is lock-step with the other two: 23 mpg combined. Interior Features The 2020 Ford Explorer interior has seen some dramatic changes for the new model year, and they are some of the most high-tech Ford has shown to date. Ford SYNC 3 permeates the interior controls through a 10.1-inch touch screen on the center console, and a full 12.3" LCD instrument panel sits behind the steering wheel, which is customizable to your tastes.Seating 7, the Ford Explorer also features easy-access second-row seating and with the rear seats folded down, boasts 87 cubic feet of cargo space. Other features are available such as 360-degree view cameras and tri-zone climate control to ensure everyone arrives safely and comfortably. With these features and many more, the 2020 Ford Explorer is ready for anything West Michigan can throw at it.The 2020 Chevy Traverse boasts similar features as the Ford, albeit with not as much flash. Inside, you'll find an 8" Infotainment screen, a simulated top-down view of the vehicle to help prevent accidents while parking, back-up cam, and seating for 7. However, the Chevy Traverse may be expanded to accommodate 8 passengers with an available option. With the rear seats folded down, the Chevy Traverse also holds 98.2 cu/ft of cargo, a bit more than the Ford Explorer. The 2020 Honda Pilot is just as generous with the tech as the other two. Their whole host of safety features comes standard, such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, collision assist, and more. Though it has the smallest LCD screen of the bunch at 5", by all accounts Honda's system is polished and responsive. The Honda Pilot also seats 8, and features 83.9 cu/ft. of cargo space with the seats folded down, the smallest of the three. Adventure-Readiness The 2020 Ford Explorer saw the return of rear-wheel drive to the model, giving it a big advantage over its front-wheel drive competitors this year. This provides a little extra "oomph" when driving down uneven trails, better handling, and an extra 600 pounds of towing capacity the Chevy Traverse and the Honda Pilot just can't match. Plus, the 2020 Ford Explorer comes available with Intelligent 4WD and Terrain Management System - an easy-to-use selectable dial that optimizes the powertrain for various conditions like sand, snow, slippery, towing, and more. You couldn't ask for a more complete adventure-ready SUV in this category. The 2020 Chevy Traverse offers something similar, though not as robust. A dial in the center allows you to switch between FWD, AWD, Tow/Haul, and Off-Road, which means extra rear-wheel torque. The 2020 Honda Pilot gets closer, with an available All-Wheel Drive system that adapts to changing road conditions, with an override that allows you to set it to snow, mud, and sand modes. Overall Value The 2020 Ford Explorer starts at $32,765, making it the most expensive of the models we compared today. However, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for: the Explorer hosts the most up-to-date technology in the cabin, larger screens, more comfort, and superior power, especially important if you plan to tow a boat or a camper this summer. Plus, and maybe we're biased, but the newly-redesigned body for 2020 looks much more sleek and modern compared to the other two.The 2020 Chevrolet Traverse starts at $29,800, making it the most affordable option compared today. Though it triumphs over the Ford Explorer in some areas, there are serious compromises in others, the biggest one being choice. The Chevy has but one available engine for this vehicle, and while it's capable in its own right, it simply can't compete with the similar-sized Ford V6 if power is a factor for you.The 2020 Honda Pilot starts at $32,250, coming in just over $500 shy of the Ford Explorer. The Honda has its own unique strengths, it simply falls short of the Ford Explorer on engine options, cargo space, and infotainment options. It also has the lowest towing capacity of the three, but for buyers that don't tow heavy loads while adventuring, it might be worth a look. Compare the 2020 Ford Escape, 2020 Chevy Equinox, and 2020 Honda CR-V in this Borgman Head to Head

Getting ready for summer adventures in West Michigan and not sure which SUV to choose? Borgman is comparing the 2020 Ford Escape, the 2020 Chevy Equinox, and the 2020 Honda CR-V to help you make your decision. We'll go head to head on key features of each and show how the 2020 Ford Escape stacks up. If you'd like to test drive the new Ford Escape for yourself, check out our huge selection and get in touch with us today! We'd be happy to help. While these three vehicles are similar in a lot of ways, we feel the 2020 Escape has advantages in all the right areas, namely in towing capacity and overall design. It's sleek, yet boasts more power for trekking your way through West Michigan's dirt roads and campgrounds with enough cargo space for whatever gear you need to bring along. Plus, with new hybrid options including a plug-in variant, fuel-conscious shoppers don't have to compromise either. Let's get started! Engine Options, Fuel Efficiency, and Towing There are two standard turbocharged engines in the 2020 Ford Escape lineup: the 1.5L EcoBoost and 2.0L EcoBoost engine. The first delivers spirited performance with an estimated 27 City and 33 miles per gallon highway mileage, with the bigger 2-liter engine capable of towing up to 3,500 pounds. The Chevy Equinox matches the Escape's engine displacement with their own 1.5L and 2.0L, both turbocharged as well. The Chevy Equinox's larger engine is also capable of towing 3,500 pounds but with the smaller 1.5L coming up short on efficiency with an estimated 31 mpg highway. The 2020 Honda CR-V offers one engine: their 1.5L turbocharged engine, with a hybrid option available as well, and edging the others out with an estimated 34 mpg highway. However, the Honda CR-V uses a CVT transmission which gives it an edge on fuel efficiency, it may be the reason for the CR-V's 1,500 towing capacity. Interior Features For 2020, the newly redesigned Ford Escape comes with a host of new interior features worth celebrating, including a standard WiFi hotspot. CoPilot 360, Ford's suite of safety features, also comes standard. The available SYNC 3 infotainment system, 8" screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and many other features are there for you to explore as well. You can even upgrade to the 12" display you'll find in the 2020 Ford Explorer, wireless phone charging, B&O stereo system, and WAZE integration. The Chevy Equinox and Honda CR-V offer similar features, though not nearly as many are standard. Both feature a 7" screen standard, but one interesting standout was the Bluetooth wireless communication in the Chevy Equinox can handle two devices at once - something that's invaluable for frequent passengers or someone with both a work and personal phone. Both vehicles feature their manufacturer's own infotainment operating systems. Cargo Space & Adventure-Readiness?The 2020 Ford Escape is the ultimate companion for adventuring in West Michigan. Though light on its feet, All-Wheel Drive is available on standard and hybrid models, with the only exception being the plug-in hybrid model. With the seats folded down, the Escape boasts 65.4 cubic feet of cargo space - plenty of room for water skis, wakeboards, camping gear, or anything else you need for your summer excursions. The Chevrolet Equinox and Honda CR-V also feature available All-Wheel Drive options. The Chevy sports 63.9 cu/ft of cargo space with the seats folded down versus the Honda CR-V's 75.8 cu/ft, making it the clear winner in this category. Overall Design and Value The 2020 Ford Escape starts at $24,885, with an impressive new, sleek, and contoured exterior design. Though the Chevy Equinox is priced at a slightly lower $23,800, the Escape triumphs with many more features included standard. The 2020 Honda CR-V starts at $25,050, and while the difference is close and the CR-V does have more cargo space, bear in mind the CR-V comes with fewer choices and less than half the towing capacity. Ford Extends 6-Month No Payment Offer as Helping Hand to West MI Auto Shoppers

Ford Will Pay The First 3 Months and Allow Deferment of 3 Months Payments for Eligible Customers Borgman Ford has been tracking the COVID-19 outbreak in Grand Rapids and West Michigan carefully. One of the most devastating aspects of the social-distancing policies in effect is the numerous people out of work due to temporary or permanent layoffs. That's why we were so pleased to hear that in an unprecedented move, Ford has offered to cover the first three loan payments and allow the deferment of another three payments for borrowers who qualify. This allows people who need a new vehicle but find themselves in a tight spot to shop worry-free and drive home the vehicle they need for daily life - without making a single payment for six months. There are a number of other things Ford is doing for dealers and existing customers as well. If you've financed through Ford Credit and aren't sure you can make your loan or lease payments, you can get help by visiting AccountManager.Ford.com. Ford Launches New ‘Built To Lend A Hand,’ Providing New Car Buyers Peace Of Mind With Up To Six Months Of Payment Relief Ford Motor Company is offering eligible new car buyers up to six months of payment relief under a new “Built to Lend a Hand” program developed with its dealers. This week, Ford met with dealers throughout the country, asking what they and their customers need most. The answer was clear – payment support for existing and new customers affected by coronavirus, plus tools to help serve their customers remotely. Under the new program, Ford is offering up to six months of payment relief for eligible new car customers who finance through Ford Credit. Ford will pay for three months and customers can defer for up to three months for a total of up to six months. The program is for those purchasing new 2019 and 2020 model year vehicles, excluding 2020 F-Series Super Duty. “Our dealers are incredibly connected to their communities,” said Kumar Galhotra, president, North America. “They’re willing to lend a hand by doing whatever it takes to help our customers in this time of need.” Ford’s Built to Lend a Hand initiative comes on the heels of a well-received Ford Credit program announced Monday, which allows existing U.S. customers affected by coronavirus to call Ford Credit and discuss options if they are having payment difficulty.?The website for the Ford Credit program is http://www.fordcreditsupport.com/ or customers can call a special hotline at 1-800-723-4016.
